Dean's photography hides give you the chance to photograph some of Britain's most sought-after species at close range, with carefully positioned perches and feeding stations to maximise your opportunities. All hides are run dawn to dusk and are heated with toilet facilities.

Kingfisher Courtship
2024 was by far our best season to date with the kingfishers. We had all the intimate behaviours photographed on different broods and consecutive days — fish passing, mating and feeding fledged young along with huge numbers during the feeding periods. We are hoping for similar action in 2025 and 2026 so have opened up the dates. Early booking advised as it's a popular time.

90° & 180° Hare Hides
January to March is the best time of year for the chance of capturing images of hares doing their courtship rituals and boxing. Weather on the day does play a massive part in how active the hares will be — we offer a last-minute date change if the weather forecast is looking particularly bad. Cold, still and sunny days are the best for activity. The hares aren't baited in any way so the session's activity relies on their natural movements.

Buzzard, Red Kite & Sparrowhawk
The Dyke Hide offers Buzzard, Kites and a good chance of a Sparrowhawk visiting to hunt the small garden birds. The hide is being run as single occupancy — if you book alone you will shoot alone. If you wish to bring a photographer friend along then there is space for 2 photographers and we are offering a discount for this. Other species you are likely to encounter include Jay and Great Spotted Woodpecker attracted to seed. The hide is heated with a toilet and is run dawn to dusk.
